121005 Zoo Trip 21
Today is Children’s Day, and Grace took the children to the Zoo. YowCH dropped them off at 8:00am and had to go to work. This is our first trip to the Zoo in over a year’s time.
Esther took this photo of the tigers.
We woke early and fried some eggs for sandwiches as a late breakfast, eating at the Baboons’ enclosure.
The children enjoyed getting splashed at the Splash Safari sea lion show.
They had a pony ride each.
The children played in the wet zone, and then had Ben & Jerry for lunch.
Rare sight, the albino peacock with tail opened.
The children watched the Rainforest Fights Back show and took photos with the snake.
They had lots of rides, the tram and now the boat.
Another show, the Animal Friends Show.
Joseph couldn’t take it anymore, and fell asleep on the tram. probably a very short nap of a few minutes.
A nice cold drink to wake him for the next ride, elephant.
As the trip ends and nearing the exit, the tapirs were actually walking about!
Then YowCH received a call from the zoo, that a walkie-talkie was found! Each of our walkie-talkie has a name and phone number on it. It was David who left it behind, and Grace had to leave the taxi queue to get it back from Lost & Found. We left the zoo at 6:50pm, and reached home at about 7:30pm, while the children had their nap on the cab. There were slight drizzles but the weather was cooling and nice.
All except one of these nice photos were taken by Grace on the Fujifilm S5pro SLR, heavy but nice results.
Thank God for a day of fun in the Zoo.
