120804 Hiking at Macritchie

YowCH went with Esther, David and Joseph for a hike in Macritchie while Grace was working in the morning. We dropped Grace off at work and started hiking at 8:45am from Venus Drive carpark.

We saw water-striders.

Joseph walked all by himself.

The sun rays coming down was very pretty.

We took a break at the Ranger Station, and that’s where we turned around, too. Here some monkeys came by to try to snatch our food, but we chased them away. NParks workers were also present to help chase monkeys.

At about 10:20am, after resting for 30 minutes, we hiked back to the carpark.

We took a short water break at SICC back-entrance.

We saw a skink (lizard) and some other hikers introduced rubber fruits and seeds to the children.

We left Macritchie at 11:55 after a short rest at the carpark.

We covered about 6.5km and thank God for the good weather, nice trip with adventures and meeting animals and learning about plants.

After the hiking trip, we picked Grace from KKH and went for lunch at Adam Road Food Centre (very nice Selera Rasa Nasi Lemak).
