120310 to 13 Trip to PJ for Loon & Daren’s wedding
We drove to PJ on 10 March 2012 starting from 5:40am with Yan and Si Wan (Ping Quen and Siu Hei took the plane in the afternoon). We arrived in PJ, re-fueled and reached home at 9:30am. After unloading, we walked out to the neighbourhood mamak store and had roti and nasi lemak for breakfast.
After breakfast, YowCH and David washed the car. Then we helped Loon prepare for the wedding, and took an afternoon nap. In the evening, we had a small party for family for Loon’s wedding. After the dinner party, we celebrated Zi Yan’s birthday, too.
We then went over to Chee Kean’s place at 10:15pm for a sleep-over. Sadly, the first thing that happened was YowCH breaking a flower-pot while parking the car.
The next day, 11 March 2012, was the wedding of Daren and Khoy Loon. Joseph opened the car door for Daren.
Here are some photos of the wedding and family, the dinner was held at Tropicana Golf Club, food by Tai Thong (very nice).
With everyone so nicely dressed up, we took some family photos.
Esther and David brought Daren and Khoy Loon into the ballroom at the start. The children behaved well and ate well.
On Monday, we spent time with parents. The children went to the neighbourhood playground, as usual, and had great fun.
We then went shopping and dinner at One Utama in the afternoon.
On 13 March 2012, we went out sundry shopping in the morning, then had lunch with parents and Zi Yan at a herbal restaurant, Tang Shifu, in Bandar Utama. Interesting and tasty food, but parking was difficult.
We left PJ at 2:10pm, drove through some heavy rain, and reached Gelang Patah for KFC dinner at 5:40pm.
We reached Singapore about 6:45pm and sent David to his Chinese tuition class, then Yan and Si Wan home. We reached home at 8:20pm and unpacked.
Side item: the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres performed very well in the rainy condition on the highway, no noticeable sliding or aqua-planing issues at speeds of 120km/h in the rain. Feels safe and very stable.
