210211 to 13 Chinese New Year (Covid)
Chinese New Year 2021 is a very strange situation as we can’t travel back to PJ for our family reunion. So we had our CNY in Singapore.
On the CNY-eve, the children had school for the school CNY celebrations. Samuel was dressed in his kungfu suit:
YowCH was off (Chye Joo closed from 11 to 15 Feb) and prepared a feast for dinner:
We invited the Yongs over and we had dinner while we connected to PJ through video conferencing. We also connected to Kajang/Melbourne for the Yong-family.
After dinner we had some mahjong fun:
First day of CNY, again the Yongs joined us, and we also invited Michele (YowCH’s cousin), Stephen and baby Damien for lunch:
Lots of good food!
We had to split the seating, with total of 7 guests and 6 of us.
After lunch, Michele left to visit other relatives and we played some games with the Yongs.
For dinner, we cooked waxed-food rice, but unfortunately, the pot dropped and broke.
Thanksfully, no one was injured adn we cooked another pot, together with re-dressed left-overs.
After dinner, more games!
On the second day, we went over to Sorrento for lunch. YowCH did the stew again.
Very nice food prepared by Grace’s mom.
After lunch, we took family photos:
We visited the Lims for dinner. It was Spanish rice (paella) and cheeses, very nice.
