180623 Zoo trip with Tans
We went to the Zoo on 23 June, Saturday, to accompany YowCH’s sister’s family (the Tans). We had breakfast at the coffeeshop near home and reached the Zoo at 9:05am. Esther and David had responsibilities at church, and skipped this outing.
We met up with the Tans and bought 7 hampers from Kellogg’s (each at $20 with cornflakes, and came with a Zoo entry ticket) which is a great deal.
It was a rather wet morning, but we pressed on.
The young cousins had fun talking to each other about the animals.
The rain got heavier mid-morning.
We watched the sea-lion show, sitting at the splash zone.
The reptiles had a new display, rather nice and good to view the animals.
Joseph was really soaking in all the knowledge from the info-panels.
After the polar bear died, the statue and some displays were all that’s left of Inuka.
We left the Zoo at 12:30pm to prepare to go to church while the Tans stayed on for a while more. We had lunch at a Thai food place on Queensway along the way to home.

We thank God for the nice cool weather (albeit a bit wet) and the great time spent with the Tans.
