171014 Jurong Eco Garden
We had a short walk at the Jurong Eco Garden (completed in 2014 under JTC), at Cleantech Park, Jurong West, next to NTU.
We first went to Jurong West St 41 to have nasi lemak at 7-Star Kopitiam. The queue was really long, waited 30 minutes for our turn.
The nasi lemak was great! Our three standard plates (one added chicken wing, another added cockles and the last added squids) cost only $10.20!

We reached the Eco Garden at 10:40am and started roaming the place. The design is very nice for an urban green-and-blue park.
Our family photo at the Green Roof Building.
There is a trial up the hills to the natural jungle for 850m, but we did not make the hike this trip.
Grace got the children to collect saga seeds.
There is a learning pavilion about making compost from food waste.
Some nice clay sculptures, from the kilns nearby, no doubt.
The Thow Kwang Dragon Kiln is within this garden, and we took the opportunity to explore and learn about pottery. Esther has been here before in he school trip.
This is Esther at the head of the dragon.
The kiln fires up only about 7 times in a year, so we got to walk inside.
The work-shops, followed with ice-cream for David and Samuel (the rest didn’t want).
We continued our walk, and reach Cleantech One, before turning back to the central pond.
A photo across the pond, on the bridge.
Another family photo, on another bridge.
We left at 12:00 noon, to get Esther to church, while we went for lunch.
