170127 to 29 CNY at PJ

We traveled to PJ on Friday, 27 Jan (Chinese 30th day of the 12th month) early morning. For this short trip, we packed very lightly.

We left home at 2:25am and cleared both Singapore and Malaysia checkpoints in 25 minutes (very fast for CNY).

The journey was rather smooth, except for occasional short stretches of slower traffic.

We reached PJ at 6:30am, too early to go home, so we went to SS2 Kayu Restaurant for breakfast.

We reached home at about 7:30am, and had a nice time with the family.

Grace, David, Samuel and YowCH then went to Giant to shop for a while, followed by lunch at home.

And the reunion dinner on Friday evening.

On Saturday, we woke at about 9:30am and had breakfast at home.

And the cousins had a nice time playing with each other.

At 6:00pm, we had dinner with relatives at A Wet Thai Seafood.

The food was great, and cheap, too. After dinner, we took family photos at YowCH’s parents’ place.

We had a great time chit-chatting, with 水井坊, too.

On Sunday, we woke early, at 7:00am and visited Chee Kean and Ming Meng, and their dogs. Then we had breakfast at Kayu with Chee Kean and Thean Seong.

Some more family time, including the all-important mahjong games.

Our lunch together, before we left for Singapore and the Yongs left for Kajang.

We left PJ at about 2:55pm and the traffic was reasonably good (some occasional slow sections due to exits and minor accidents).

We reached Gelang Patah at 7:05pm and had KFC dinner.

After dinner, we refilled at 8:00pm and crossed both checkpoints by 8:30pm. Very fast for CNY.

A short drive later, we reached Grace’s parents’ place for a short visit.

We reached home at 10:25pm and unpacked by 11:00pm.
