Day 3: Tuesday 20 Dec 2016 – Causeway Bay

We woke late at about 9:00am, very tired after Disneyland. We ate breakfast at where we bought our supper, SKM at about 10:30am.

After breakfast, we went to Times Square and Sogo for shopping. It was rather hot at 25°C and bright sunlight.

At about 1:45pm, we went to Hysan Pace for wanton mee lunch at Ho Hung Kee.

Gene also bought some Bake cheese tarts nearby for supper.

After lunch, we went for more shopping and had a snack break at The Excelsior, Portugese egg tarts.

We shopped further at Windsor, and then we walked to Lockhart Road for Hong Fatt Roasts for dinner, reaching at 7:15pm.

After dinner, we walked back to the hotel and reached at 9:10pm.

After showering, ate the Bake tarts and slept at 11:30pm, while YowCH worked until 1:15am.

Day 4: Wednesday 21 Dec 2016 – Ocean Park

We woke up to a rainy day at about 7:00am, and walked out to get breakfast at Capital Cafe at Heard Street at 8:10am.

At 8:55am, we took MTR and bus to Ocean Park.

We reached Ocean Park at 9:40am, just in time for the opening.

There was great Christmas spirit around.

We took the tram to the sea-front areas for the rides.

The rides are mostly not suitable for younger children, there are many rides that Joseph cannot participate, and Samuel had even less.

But the South and North Poles exhibits with animals are very nice.

Penguins!

Walruses!

Seals and sealions.

Artic Fox!

More rides.

There were street performers to entertain the younger children.

We bought snacks for lunch at 1:10pm. Huge turkey drumstricks.

After lunch, Gene took Esther, David and Joseph for a splashy ride while Grace and took Samuel to see some animals.

Dad and mum rest their legs in the cool air.

Towards late afternoon, Samuel slept for a while.

Mum, dad and Gene took the cable car back to the entrance while we went for more rides.

Roller-coaster, splash boat, escalators (plenty), flying eagle, pirate ship and the Dragon! Along the way, we visited the dolphin research centre.

With less rides suitable for Jospeh and Samuel, they had time for snacks.

Then we entered the shark aquarium and spent 30 minutes enjoying the sharks exhibits.

At 5:30pm, we were quite tired adn started making our way back to meet Gene and parents.

We thank God that Ocean Park wasn’t too crowded, probably off-season and due to the rain.

At the entrance, we brought Samuel to the children-freindly Whisker’s Harbour and he had his fill of rides.

Ocean Park closes at 7:00pm, and as we walked out, there was the fountain show.

We left at 7:30pm and took bus back to Admiralty.

From Admiralty, we took a short cab ride to Hennessy Road for Wing Wah wanton mee, having our dinner at 8:10pm.

We finished dinner at 9:00pm and walked back to the hotel.

After showering, we slept at 11:30pm.
