YowCH & Grace

School holidays! We took a short 3-day trip to PJ to visit YowCH’s parents, sister and friends. Also to visit KTP KL office and TYL KL office. We packed rather light:

On Wednesday, 30 Nov, 4:20am, we drove off for the first long drive on the Ody. Spacious seats, and comfortable drive.

Due to the mid-week off peak hour, we had little traffic to contend with, and managed to test the car up to 180km/h at one point. The trip was mostly about 120-130km/h.


We reached PJ at 8:00am, and after re-fuelling and settling down a bit at home for breakfast, we went to Mid Valley Mega Mall. Grace and the children went shopping while YowCH visited KTP KL office.

Local food was great, we had 2 lunches, firstly at Old Town, then at Ipoh Chicken Rice.


At night, we had dinner at home, and after dinner, Loon brought home bread-pudding to celebrate Joseph’s birthday.

On Thursday, 1 Dec, we went out to One Utama for more shopping. We had keropok ikan lekur at Kluang Station with our coffee.



Lunch was at Food Republic.

We bought some new toys and books.


The Loos joined us for dinner.



Later in the evening, we drove to Setia Alam to visit Grace’s cousin who had just given birth to a baby girl.

Then it is supper time at Kayu with Chee Kean and Ming Meng.

On Friday, 2 Dec, YowCH visited TYL office in the morning while the rest stayed home. Then we went to Paradigm Mall for lunch at Sakae Sushi.



After lunch, we shopped a bit, and then we dropped YowCH’s parents, Esther, David and Joseph at home, while YowCH, Grace and Samuel shopped further at Giant. We had dinner at home, ended with an apple strudel given by Grace’s cousin.



We had some family bonding time, then we went out for supper at Kayu again. We met Sri, Chee Kean, Ming Meng and Thean Seong.

On Saturday, 3 Dec, we started our drive early in the morning at 4:45am, to get home in time for Grace’s work starting at 12:30pm. A nice and comfortable drive again.



We reached Gelang Patah at 7:45am and had breakfast and some playground time before the re-fuelling and crossing of the border.


The checkpoints were clear, and we reached home at 9:15am.

We thank God for a nice holiday in PJ with family and friends, safe and comfortable drive in our new car and opportunity for YowCH with meet his Malaysian colleagues in TYL and KTP.
