150808 Zoo trip 25
It was a rainy Saturday morning, but we were keen to visit the zoo to Samuel the animals, and to let YowCH plan his company Family Day event. Given the long weekend, and the rainy weather, we expected less people at the zoo, which is good for us. We left home at about 8:15am and entered the zoo at 8:45am.
The family immediately started exploring and studying the animals.
Proboscis Monkey:
Otter:
Tapir:
Babi Rusa and White Tiger:
David loves to read the descriptions to know more about the animals.
Gar Fish and Pygmy Hippopotamus:
Red River Hog:
The new Koalas at the Australian enclosure:
Cassowary and Kangaroo:
The large group of Hamadryas Baboons:
Douc Langurs and Black-and-white Colobus Monkeys:
Tufted Capuchin and Mandrill:
The children roamed about the Elephants area.
We then went to the Kids’ World animal show.
And some fun at the playground/adventure area:
There was a skink and numerous squirrels.
There were tame animals at the Kids’ World. Goats and Farabella Horses:
Then we visited the Fragile Forest enclosure, and saw Bats, Mousedeer, Lories, large pigeons, lemurs and other small animals.
Zebras and Giraffes:
Cheetahs and Leopard:
Rhinoceros:
Polar Bear:
We left the zoo at about 1:30pm, for lunch and then to get Esther to church service at 3.00pm. By 1:15pm, Samuel has fallen asleep.
We thank God for a fun day at the zoo, having started with rainy and ended with nice sunlight. There was not too large a crowd and we saw most of the nice animals. Samuel enjoyed the trip very much. Joseph managed to read the descriptions while Esther and David were able to guide and lead the younger boys.
