Return to page 1/2

Day 5: 19 Nov 2014

Again breakfast at Al-Aimin, then picked up by the tour guide to the Mangrove Tour.

Samuel’s first speed boat ride.

Bat cave, with bats, of course.

Then we went visited a floating fish farm, called Hole in the Wall.

This is the real hole in the wall, a tunnel cave.

We saw some eagles being fed.

Then we had lunch on another floating fish farm.

After lunch, we continued by boat to an isolated beach for some relaxing time.

The trip then ended, and we returned to the hotel at 3.00pm.

Then we were picked up at 3.30pm for the island hopping private charter tour.

First stop: Tasik Dayang Bunting, a large fresh water pond on an island.

We saw mudskippers, and fiddler crabs right handed common ones, rare left handed ones and even those with both claws large).

The children drove a paddle boat to the for end and came back.

After the fresh water pond, we continued to Pulau Singa Besar to see eagles feeding.

Then, the last stop: Pulau Beras Basah for beach fun.

On hindsight, we should have done the salt water activities first, then go for a clean-up dip at Dayang Bunting! At about 6.30pm, we headed back to Kuah.

Upon reaching the hotel, we called in a rental car again, and drove out for Chinese seafood dinner.

Day 6: 20 Nov 2014

Last day, and that’s the sad Wira we got for RM100 for the last day of our holiday. The meters are not even working.

We had breakfast in Kuah at a Malay stall.

Obligatory place to visit in Langkawi – Eagle Square.

Then, we got to the Legends Park to see the representatives sculptures of Langkawi legends. Nicely done.

After the Legends Park, we shopped at Langkawi Fair and had lunch at Papparich.

We checked out of the hotel at 2.00pm and drove off with our luggage.

We visited the hot springs at Air Hangat, where Grace had a foot massage.

Next stop, a North-western beach, Tengkorak (Skull) Beach.

We hiked a little, and over rocks at the beach.

Then we headed to Cenang Beach again and had expensive Western Grill dinner.

We then drove to the airport and returned the car. After checking into the flight, we bought some gifts and boarded the plane at 9.00pm.

We landed 15 mins early, and Grace’s dad drove us home. We reached home just before midnight.

Here are the goodies we got. We also enjoyed some booze, potato chip and chocolates while we were at Langkawi.

We thank God for a great holiday, family time and the good weather. Also for safety and good health. And certainly for the flights and tours being on schedule.
