140412 Botanic Gardens 02 with TYLin
The TYLin Staff Club organised a series of photography workshops where YowCH is an instructor. After two training sessions in the office, we made trip to the Botanic Gardens for an outdoors shoot and time for fellowship. Unfortunately, the day was rather wet.
We arrived at 8:15am after sending Esther to school for Maths Olympiad and David to Chinese class. After a short wait for attendees, we set off into the Gardens at 9:00am.
Grace took a few nice macros with the FX1.
This is Samuel’s first trip to the Botanic Gardens.
The TYLin group studied various shooting controls and options.

Grace had a good time with Joseph and Samuel:
Joseph took this photo, note the low angle:
This is a nice activity, climbing a tree:
YowCH’s colleagues were shooting everywhere, that is until the rain came.
We hid in The Bandstand pavilion:
That’s where Joseph started climbing, and then a stranger girl also joined his climb.
The organiser and president of Staff Club, Eng Hong, bought some hot-dogs and nuggets for snacks:
Rain notwithstanding, YowCH went out with Joseph to shoot some large trees:
Here’s a shot of YowCH by Grace:
After waiting for a while, the rain remained persistent, so we left at 11:30am.
Thank God for the outing, cool weather, fellowship and some opportunity to discuss photography with colleagues.
