100924 to 27 Trip to PJ, CCK and PMM’s wedding
We spent a short weekend in PJ for the wedding of Chee Kean and Ming Meng. We drove up early in the morning of 24 Sept with Yan and Siu Hei (PQ flew budget airline, since our car seats only 7).
We left home at 7:00am, got to Hong Kian and Sze Wee’s place and drove almost the whole way together. We had only one stop at Pagoh, the children were all well behaved.
We reached home in time for lunch with YowCH’s parents.
PQ joined us at about 6:30pm when he finished his work in KL.
Friday night was spent at Gospel Hall Church for the wedding rehearsal.
The next morning, we reach CCK’s palce at 7:00am and proceeded to pick the bride and then head off to church. YowCH served as one of the two photographers.
Joseph looked great in vest and tie.
Here you see David as the page-boy (ring-bearer) and Esther as the flower girl.
After church, we went over to CCK’s place again, and then had a short break before going over to Vistana KL for the dinner.
This photo of YowCH and his secondary school classmates and chess partners was taken by Esther.
On Sunday, we woke a little later, then went to Giant to stock up.
Then we drove Yan, PQ and Siu Hei to Kajang, then met CCK and MM at Tropicana City. Then it was dinner at Camp Forest, Kepong with YowCH’s uncle. This is a vegetarian restaurant.
The next morning, a Monday, we set off from home at 5:00am and had a great drive to Singapore. The morning mist was beautiful.
And so was the sunrise.
Unfortunately, we also drove by two accidents, the first is more terrible, where the head of the car was totally crushed:
We reached the check point at 9:30am and with almost no queue, we sent Yan and Siu Hei home (Bishan) and got home before 11:00am. Esther then had to rush her stuff to get to school on time. And after a short nap, YowCH ended up at work, too.
In all, we drove 1050km over the weekend.
Thank God for a safe journey and being able to be there for Chee Kean and Ming Meng’s wedding.
