100417 Zoo Trip 18
Today we visited the zoo, effectively our 18th trip since we started being regular back in 2002.
We reached the zoo at 9:30am, and we bought our lunch from KFC (this is to avoid the long lunch queue).
Joseph was really enjoying himself looking at all the big real animals.
We took front row seats at the Splash Safari which started at 11am. All three children enjoyed the show, and David was most disappointed that he did not get splashed even with the front row seats.
Esther and David each planted a seedling at a booth for Earth Day.
We had our KFC lunch at about 12:30. We brought along our own soft-drinks, kept cold with ice packs!
After lunch, we went to the Rainforest Kids World, where we had playground fun (next time we’ll bring swimwear for the splash pools). We met Samuel, Hwee Leng and family here.
Strange that the girls are doing the work while the boys are just enjoying the ride.
Then it was pony patting time.
Joseph finally fell asleep at 2:45pm.
Esther is now very keen to read the information tags.
After the snake house, the weather started to look rainy so we took a quick walk to the exit, leaving the zoo at 3:45.
Joseph can now really appreciate real life animals rather than the plastic toys he has.
