iPhones for Joseph & Esther, meat order

Joseph transferred his phone to a new iPhone SE2 on 15 Sep 2020.

Grace ordered meat! BBQ time!

Samuel likes ‘beer’, grilled dinner, Korean BBQ lunch,

YowCH brought Joseph and Samuel to Refuel 2 for lunch on 9 Sep 2020.

Samuel likes the taste of beer, this is Heineken Zero (non-alcoholic).

On 11 Sep 2020, we used the charcoal stove to grill food for dinner with grace’s parents and Gene.



Dinner ended with tong-yuen.

Then on 12 Sep, the Korean BBQ grill plate arrived from China, and we had charcoal grill at home.

YowCH had breakfast with Samuel before his Chinese tuition class.

Lunch at Thai Kway Chap (Holland Village) with Esther on 1 Sep 2020.

YowCH suffered from tennis elbow, probably due to carrying heavy loads or accident during gym.

YowCH continues his runs, night or rain.

With weeks to O-levels, David started working hard, studying while having breakfast.

Sunday morning, after sending Samuel to Chinese tuition, YowCH had breakfast:

And got some mid-autumn biscuits.

Lunch on Sunday:

Joseph made some tappies for his teachers. Tappies are cases to carry tap-cards like the MRT cards.

Samuel made mooncakes with YowCH.


We had dinner with Grace’s parents and Gene at The Gogi, 2 tables.

31 Aug 2020, Malaysia National Day!

YowCH met with his partners Desmond and Fen Leong, and took the opportunity to inform them of his intention to resign from KTP and consulting engineering work.

Charcoal stove and food

YowCH had lunch at the old school canteen opposite Connection One, which is now converted to gym and food. Not bad.


For dinner, we had KL-style black thick noodles.

More food, 200825:

YowCH managed to buy a charcoal stove from a neighbourhood shop near Redhill Market.

Made some tong-yuen to try it out. Works fine.

Food on 26 Aug, lunch:

We used the stove to charcoal grill chicken hearts and sausages for dinner.

29 Aug, we bought Burger King for lunch:

YowCH tried out a new thing, coffee pork-ribs for dinner. Turned out pretty well.

Recording KFC worship, YowCH swab test, pineapple, Grace swim

17 Aug, we had simple lunch at home.

Then we recorded a worship video for church juniors, KFC. Samuel was leading!

For dinner, we ordered food.

Grace and Esther went out with Grace’s parents and Gene for lunch.

This is the F1 Paddocks near the Singapore Flyer. After the first swab test at Changi, YowCH did his swab test every 2 weeks here.

We got some chicken hearts, grilled them with herbs and spices, and clearly, Samuel loves them.

We also got a pineapple.

On the weekend, we had our regular swim. Here is Grace swimming:

Grace had regular brisk walks in the evening.

Dinner.

YowCH bought a chopping board (mail-order from China), good stuff. After unpacking, the board was soaked in water for 24 hours.

It feels very good to chop on the thick timber board.

YowCH had leftover pasta for lunch on 11 Aug.

And we bought noodles for dinner.

YowCH runs strictly to his schedule. Starting August, he runs 3x 4.0km weekly, on mornings of Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, even when it rains.

After running, he does his gym routine.

Samuel had fun at home doing some craft we bought from China.

With the restrictions reduced and having gone for regular swab test, YowCH can visit his sites on 15 Aug, bridges at Simpang Kiri and at Sentul Crescent, both HDB jobs which he took over from SJ.

Later that evening, we had dinner at home with Grace’s parents and Gene.

Monster Curry at Novena Square, we sat at 2 separate tables.

Durians, fried bananas, wonton mee with Yongs, swim

On Saturday, 8 Aug, we bought some durians.

A simple lunch.

Samuel had church event through video conferencing.

And a meaty dinner.

Sunday morning, we fried bananas for breakfast:

We did wonton mee for lunch with the Yongs.




We had fun playing Family Style after lunch.

In the evening, we went for swim, had to pre-book (to avoid over crowding) and limited to 5 persons per lane.

After swim, we ate at Alexandra Retail Centre, bak kut teh.

Esther has been recording worship services for Youths. The production gets more complex and professional as the days of Covid continue. Here she is the worship leader.

YowCH returned to office and found a acrylic screen erected at his table (and other directors). Also done for meeting tables!

Yongs visit

The Yongs visited us again on 31 July 2020, we had lunch and dinner together, and lots of fun making cookies.


Siu Hei and Si Wan making cookies.

We used a classic Sawa pump.

Nicely done.

The cousins played games on Wii.

And dinner.


And after dinner, we had tong-yuen.
