Another car!
We bought another car today, a red and white coupe. It’s a very small one seater for Joseph only.
It is a second hand item which we picked up from another family in Punggol, only 6 months old and very lightly used.

On 30 Nov morning, we brought Joseph to Delta Swimming Complex for a swim. Esther and David were having swimming lessons there at 9:00am. With our new underwater casing for the F200 camera, here are some photos:
After the swim, we had a fast breakfast at Moh Guan with Grace’s parents, then left for Pontian for a short 2-day holiday.
Esther and David started taking swimming lessons, being the school holidays now. The teacher is Jeffrey from Happy Fish and the lessons are conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:00am to 10:00am at Delta Swimming Complex (near our home, just a very short bus ride away).
Joseph (and family) had dinner with Yan and PQ at Lao Beijing, Novena Square for his 1st birthday. He’s happily holding on to the red-pack that he received as present.
We’ll be going back to Pontian coming Monday and Tuesday to visit Grace’s grandma, together with Grace’s parents. Before that, on Monday morning, Joseph will join E&D for a swim.
Praise the Lord, Joseph is 1-year-old today. He is really smiley and bubbly, and started liking to play rough with David and YowCH. Another favourite of his is hide-and-seek.
He has not started standing on his own yet, and prefers to crawl than to walk or cruise. He is also consistent in using some ‘words’ now. In the car, he sits in his baby-seat very nicely, often ‘talking’ to others in the car.
Joseph was dedicated to the LORD on Sunday, 8 Nov 2009 in church by Elder Andrew Chua. This is a photo of the family before service (thanks to Paul for helping take the photo):

[ADDED 15 Nov 2009]
Here’s a photo of the Ngs with Daniel and the Yows with Joseph.
And this is when we, the parents, pledge to bring up Joseph in Godly manner.
We have also started putting together a new PC last Sunday, 1 Nov 2009, in hope that the existing WinXP SP3 and installed software can just be run on the new platform. However, after struggling with Windows, drivers and software problems for 1 week, we moved onwards from WinXP and bought the newly released Windows7 and started a new installation on Saturday 7 Nov 2009, finally completed this morning (past midnight). There are still many software that must be installed to make the system fully workable. Total cost for new casing, power supply, mainboard, processor, 2GB RAM (we would probably up this to 4GB), 2 x 250GB harddrive, video card with DVI, VGA and HDMI, keyboard, mouse, 23″ full HD Samsung LCD monitor, web-cam and Windows7 Home is about $1300.
[ADDED 15 Nov 2009]
We added another 2GB of RAM and a new mic, the whole PC now $1400.
Joseph is now starting to cruise. He can readily pull himself to a standing position and starts to ‘walk’ while clinging onto a support. His meals has diversified to include chicken, fish, potatoes and he is as smiley as before.
Esther is doing well in school, but always a little too little sleep. David has started speaking in Mandarin and Cantonese, which is a good sign. He is also starting to read words.
24 July 2009: We add a photo taken on 23 July 2009 here:
We had another trip to PJ for Grace’s cousin Ai Ling’s wedding.
We left Singapore at 2:30pm on 26 June and reached home in Singapore at 10:10pm on 28 June 2009. YowCH’s colleague, Goh Wei Yon, hitched a ride with us on both ways.
Photos are here.
Joseph is now crawling very steadily, and he prefers cereals and biscuits for meals now.
Nothing much to update, but just within this past week, Joseph started sitting up by himself and creeping on the ground. Won’t be long before he really crawls and nothing on the floor will be safe from him.
We have moved the play-pen out of our room as he grew too big for it, and now the baby cot is in our room.
Earlier on, on Saturday afternoon 13 June, Esther and David was most helpful in cleaning the car. They each cleaned two rims. Esther cleaned the insides with the vacuum cleaner and David helped YowCH in the windows cleaning.
We’ll be heading North again to PJ this coming Friday for the weekend.
Today Joseph is 6 months old, and this is him eating his first solid food – plain rice cereal. He doesn’t really like it; maybe soya sauce will help improve the taste!
Yesterday, Esther and David helped YowCH wash the car. David and Esther cleaned the rims, Esther cleaned the insides with the vacuum cleaner, and David helped with the window washing.
The family will be back in PJ next weekend. Hopefully a nice road-trip on the North-South Highway.
Here it is, Joseph’s 1st tooth. He is now five and a half months old.
He rolls over easily and pulls himself along the bed or floor to get to his toys. He now sits well in the car seat, and often falls asleep in the car, even over short distances.
The whole family will be having a one-day fun trip to Malacca thanks to TYLin’s family day organizing it. This coming Saturday, 16 May 2009. More reports after that.
Today is also the 1st anniversary of our blog! Hooray!
