Trip to the zoo without YowCH
Today is children’s day and YowCH had to work. So the children went to the Zoo with Grace. We arrived at 8:00am by car (YowCH dropped the family off) and left by cab at 6:50pm.

Grace bought a mountain bike, a GT Aggressor 24″ (girl) second hand for $150.00 through e-bay. We drove to Jurong West to pick it up from a nice gentleman, and the bike was his daughter’s. Rather good value considering the good condition, but we need to get a kick-stand, mirror, lights, bell and perhaps a speedometer. The bike is pink! It is shorter than YowCH’s bike and Grace is pleased with the height.
The gear shift is by Gripshift (not trigger) and the seat is a comfort wide seat, not a standard MTB type.
Here you see Grace riding it and now we have 5 bikes in the house.
For reference, you can see YowCH’s GT Aggressor 26″ here.
Esther’s chin is almost all healed now and her toe fracture is cleared by the doctor on 24 Sept.
This shall be the final update on Esther’s bike injury page.
Grace drove without YowCH on the passenger seat today, and she was on high speed in CTE tunnel (the needle is at 100).
Yesterday, Saturday 22 Sept, Grace’s colleagues had a gathering at our home. Everyone brought some food and we had a great time chatting with friends.
This morning, Francis Loo passed an extra set of golf clubs to YowCH for training. While the clubs are of different brands, the set is very much complete with 16 very useful clubs, 1 bag, some balls and even a pair gloves and an umbrella.
In the afternoon, we went for David’s soccer friendly match against several other junior clubs. David is currently down with cough and fever, and played only a very short wile before retiring.
And at night, we watched the Singapore Formula One race on the big screen again.
While we were having our holiday with YowCH’s office’s family day in Malacca, Grace had some bleeding and felt weak.
We drove straight to KK Hospital from Malacca once we finished lunch on 11 Aug 2012 for an urgent check-up. Sadly, the scan confirmed that the baby has been naturally purged. Grace is physically fine although the doctor encouraged rest for her. We thank God that there is no danger to Grace.
Here is the ended page for Baby 4.
We will update on the Malacca trip later on.
Grace drove to work this morning, taking the CTE (Central Expressway), reaching 90km/h, with minimal verbal guidance from YowCH. Cool.
Grace is now driving on public roads, with some verbal guidance by YowCH. She drove the family to dinner, parked at public carpark, then drove the family back and parked at the multi-storey carpark. She managed to reach 60km/h on a straight stretch and control was well.
We celebrated Grace’s birthday with eFG at the Leong’s place. This evening is also the last eFG sesion that Samuel and Hwee Leng will be with us, as they depart for Melbourne in a few days. Another good holiday excuse.
Grace drove around the carpark for a while today and did some parking. Certainly needs more training after 20 years of not driving. The red triangles for new drivers are up on the car again.
Grace has gotten her Singapore driving licence, can drive in Singapore from now on.
